AVENGED SEVENFOLD Frontman Interviewed At NAMM (Video)

February 13, 2012

Jose Mangin, host/producer MTV.com's web-only show "Headbangers Ball" (and program director/DJ on SiriusXM Octane and Liquid Metal),conducted an interview with AVENGED SEVENFOLD singer M. Shadows at the Dean Guitars booth at the 2012 NAMM (National Association Of Music Merchants) show, a massive music-products convention which took place January 19-22 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. You can now watch the chat below.

Shadows revealed to Kerrang! magazine that he had to undergo knee surgery last year to correct a problem that left him in agony during the band's performances. Shadows told the U.K. publication, "I had knee surgery because I was in pain all the time; I was wearing knee braces onstage. But finally it's fixed." Shadows did not address what caused the problem or if he had to undergo any kind of physical therapy.

AVENGED SEVENFOLD's headlining "Buried Alive" tour concluded in December in the band's home state of California, with HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD, ASKING ALEXANDRIA and BLACK VEIL BRIDES along for the month-long trek.

"Buried Alive" is also the name of the fourth single from AVENGED SEVENFOLD's 2010 album "Nightmare", which came out in July of that year and topped the Billboard album chart for the first time in the band's career.
